After many moons, I have been rewatching This Is Us and just finished watching the episode titled KaToby. As usual, I bawled through the episode.
I just realized today that the series ended in 2022 and so did my marriage, a few weeks after. I guess all good things do come to an end. 2025 would have marked 25 years for Craigley and me; but we cut it short at 22! Coincidentally 22 is my favourite number! So, today, when I look back on my life, it all seems to have been perfect in an imperfect way.
Once again, I am here to assert that I have no regrets. I agree with Kate, “We were meant to be together … we were meant to be apart” and a story does not end because a marriage ends. Our story will continue because of ASid and Hans.
Hans recently told me that the best thing about his dad’s girlfriend is that she is a nurse. I was surprised and then, I was happy. It is wonderful that he could go back and reflect on an unexpected moment where he was caught off guard. I was also glad that he could share that thought with me.
